Edited by Gessai Fukui and published in 1898, a picture book entitled Sho Meika Kachō Gafu (i.e., Picture Album of Flowers and Birds by Various Famous Painters) included twelve pictures drawn by prominent artists of the Maruyama-Shijō School plus the Tosa School (i.e., Mitsuoki Tosa).
